Remediation Services

Project Management
Synergy’s core strength is our ability to develop a scope of work, and then execute complex or simple projects from inception through to completion.  The broad collective experience of our staff and our long standing relationships with competent subcontractors enables Synergy’s project management success.

Remediation Equipment
Synergy utilizes equipment as needed to achieve remedial results.
In many cases, Synergy personnel are able to adapt existing equipment inventory for project specific applications, which greatly reduces project costs.  Synergy works very closely with RES a group which is expert in implementing economically and functionally efficient remedial equipment.

Remediation Technologies
OZONE - Ozone is one of many types of innovative remedial technologies which Synergy has become proficient in delivering. (Link to OZONE Solutions)

Ozone Advantages
• Twelve times more soluble than oxygen in water

• Moves easily through the soil

• Produced on-site, no need for hazardous chemical transportation or storage

• Most powerful oxidizer available

• Complex organics break down to carbon dioxide or less toxic molecules

• Breaks down to oxygen which increases DO levels

Contaminants Destroyed by Ozone
• MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether)

• BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, & xylenes)

• Hydrocarbons

• Diesel Fuel

• TCE (trichloroethylene)

• Pesticides

• Chlorinated Solvents

• VOCs (volatile organic compounds)

• Aliphatic & Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons

• Pesticides

Remediation Systems – Synergy custom builds our remediation systems to account for the wide range of variables, including geology, hydrology, contaminants of concern, groundwater chemistry, soil conditions.  We also implement real time adjustable controls through our proprietary ROSE technology which improves operating effectiveness, minimizes downtime and reduces costs.

Injection Treatments for Groundwater Remediation – Synergy project managers have experience in injection treatment for achieving rapid results in improving groundwater quality.  We have experience in working with all types of oxidation and reducing agents, utilizing all types of delivery systems, and including innovative treatment materials such as emulsified oil substrates and zero valent iron.

Brownfields Services
The term “Brownfields” has a broad range of meanings.  For simplicity, we refer to all contaminated properties requiring remedial investigation and/or remediation to be a Brownfields project.  Synergy has performed a number of successful remedial projects for Brownfields sites.  Link to Project Gallery

Our Brownfields approach is to keep solutions simple, and develop remedial solutions in concert with the development plans for the property. The environmental issues are only one piece of the overall puzzle and must complement the overall redevelopment/ revitalization issues associated with the site. Synergy personnel have a proven track record successfully meeting our client’s goals by providing comprehensive and viable solutions that save time and money.
