Diakon Luthern Ministries

For Daikon (multi-site health care service provider), Synergy performed environmental site assessments, coordinated land title surveys and organized final reports into a user friendly electronic file system. The project was initiated to enable client refinancing and was delivered within the established lump sum budget in a very tight timeline.







Former Synthane Taylor Facility

For this private developer, Synergy was able to obtain a release of liability (ROL) under the PA Land Recycling Program (Act 2). A unique feature of their application for release was petition for acceptance of in stream surface water criteria for evaluation of groundwater quality as the Schuylkill river formed the entire down gradient property boundary.







Former Reading Iron Company & Former Reading Gray Iron Castings

For the City of Reading, Synergy completed site investigation and remediation to enable SIA designation for the site which had historic. This enabled the client to save on investigation costs, as well as access funding and obtain regulatory cooperation. Synergy also developed a Baseline Environmental Report which became the basis of a remedial work plan and consent order which the client will work through to redevelopment the site.







Buttonwood Gateway Redevelopment Area

For the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Reading, Synergy completed site investigation and remediation to enable SIA designation for the site. This enabled the client to save on investigation costs, as well as access funding and obtain regulatory cooperation to move forward on redevelopment plans.







Allentown Incinerator

For the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Authority, Synergy performed site investigation, including soil and groundwater sampling, and prepared a detailed Site Assessment Report for the form Allentown Incinerator site. The report is currently under review to determine next steps in remedial approach.







Hofmann Industries, Inc.

For Hofmann Industries, Inc. Synergy performed investigation, remediation and closure of a former waste water settling basin encompassing a footprint of approximately 3,000 square feet.







McCandless Fuels

For McCandless Fuels, Synergy performed site investigation and characterization for a PCB impacted 4.6 acre site. Due to the type of contaminant, regulatory oversight was from EPA TSCA. Synergy also performed fate and transport modeling in order to determine a Classification Exemption Area (CEA), and developed the proposal for NRD settlement which was presented to NJDEP. Remedial activities at the site are pending.
