Lancaster County Site Investigation and Remediation

For Lancaster County, Synergy conducted site investigation and remediation at this former foundry site.  Synergy was able to obtain a release for soil, and was also able to obtain over $600,000 in reimbursement from PA DCED for assessment and remediation costs.

Brownfields Investigation and Remediation

For a former manufacturing site, Synergy conducted detailed soil and groundwater investigation which enabled the site to qualify for SIA designation, and save an estimated $500,000 in investigation costs.  Five UST’s and 60 drums of contaminated material were removed.  The site has been able to return to productive use as a business and manufacturing center.

Condominium Remediation

For a condominium homeowner’s association in Berk’s County, Synergy investigated a major home heating oil UST release which impacted groundwater in shallow bedrock.  Synergy was able to design and implement a complex system of monitoring wells to sufficiently characterize the wells to obtain a Release of Liability (ROL) from PA DEP for the site.







Mt. Joy Site Investigation and Remediation

For a gasoline service station client, Synergy performed site investigation and soil and groundwater remediation including deep bedrock aquifer investigation, and developed and implemented a remedial action plan which obtained a Release of Liability for the client.  Activities included UST removal and significant soil excavation and disposal.
